What the 3.5 m Star Dome Is Best For
9.6 m² with a 2.8 m interior – the size that turns a dome from a tent into a room. Six of these units were delivered to a camp in northern Canada, where the 45 kg/m² snow load rating does the real work.
A four-season glamping unit
9.6 m² holds a double bed with a luggage bench and a seating corner, or a bed with the composite flooring kit and an air-conditioner base. The 6063-T5 aluminium frame and 3 mm UV-protected PC panels carry the same 120 km/h wind and 45 kg/m² snow rating as the larger sizes.
Cold-climate and snow-load sites
The delivered Canadian units run through winter at 45 kg/m². The frame is warranted for 10 years and the panels for 20 years of non-yellowing; thicker PC panels (3.5-4.5 mm) and motorised overhead curtains are on the options list.
A small cafe or family dining room
Rated for 6-8 persons, the room takes a dining table for six with circulation space. Two to three workers assemble it in about three hours, and 30 sets load per 40HQ.
Sizing up: the 4 m Star Dome is rated 8-10 persons with a full dining table, and the 2.7 m Star Dome covers single or couple units at 40 sets per 40HQ. Full comparison in Choosing the Right Dome Size.
