Dome Dining Plaza

On an open plaza in Foshan, China, the dining terrace is built entirely from transparent PC domes. Round units work as private dining rooms, each with a round table and upholstered chairs, and a single long oval dome holds one continuous table for group dining.

The domes sit on a concrete plaza inside a low black base ring. Every unit has an arched glazed entry door with a black frame; the round domes also have an openable casement window with an arched top and a large round light fixture at the centre of the roof.

The terrace runs beside an amusement park, served by a container-style two-storey building behind the domes; the lawn and turf beds in front were still being finished when these site photos were taken. Delivery covered the domes and the complete furniture package: tables, upholstered chairs, tableware, planters and lighting.
